I was able to rent a car and drive out to the Grand Canyon before going into work. I hadn't been there since the 4th grade. The Canyon is beautiful. It was partially covered in snow and it was freezing cold. I hiked around for a few hours and took a lot of pictures.
It is amazing how big the canyon is. I spent a bit of time reading the information boards about the canyon. I didn't know that it is 11 miles across! Also, it can get up to 30 degress warmer at the bottom of the canyon than the top.

Nice. Been there twice. But I still can't figure out how come it's up to 30 degrees warmer at the BOTTOM when hot air rises. Duh.....
