STS-124

I've seen this sign once before, but that time the launch was scrubbed because of fuel sensors in the external tank, and I came home. Not this time!
Actually, this picture was taken about 7 hours before the launch, but the MET clock has a built-in 3 hour hold. Even though I was only 3 miles from the launch site here, I couldn't see the orbiter because the RSS was blocking it.

I'm 6 miles away!

Roll Maneuver
I could see it before I could hear it. I'm thinking it was 20-30 seconds before I could hear it... then I could feel it!
Just before SRB-separation
AWESOME!!! IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE TRIP!!!
