STS-123 Crew Return at Ellington Field

the crew of STS-123 at their Houston Homecoming a day after a successful mission to the International Space Station
JJ with Mission Specialist Robert L. Behnken

I took JJ down to Ellington Field to welcome home the crew of STS-123. He thought it was amazing that all of the astronauts he met were in space the day before! He had a few minutes to speak with Mission Specialist Robert L. Behnken, so he asked him if he saw any aliens in space. Behnken told him that they looked day and night for 3 days and didn't see any. JJ also asked him if he went to the moon, but the astronaut told him that the space shuttle doesn't have enough fuel to do that. It was very cute. JJ got lots of autographs and pictures with astronauts yesterday.

What fun!!!!
I'm so glad you and JJ got to not only see the astronauts, but you got to talk with them too.
I'm sure there were aliens up there. He just didn't see them.

G'day from Australia,

I'm here via your Mom as well. Great post - wish I could have met some astronauts when I was little!
