I was able to visit Ft. Sumter while on my visit to Charleston. It was originally three levels, but during the civil war some of it was destroyed. The first shots of the Civil war were fired at the Union Soldiers that were in Ft. Sumter. My tour guide Dennis was AWESOME! I think that the writers of the movie "So I married and Axe Murderer" came and watched Dennis when they wrote the Alcatraz scene.
